State of Affairs,

Is this the same Country we were born into or adopted and swore we loved once upon a time when capitalism was good and communisum worth fighting aganst. In my opinion we are as a "people" no longer the guardians of what is best in nations. Trillions in debt. (anyone know what comes after trillion?) , not to mention lack of resolve, willlingness to sacrifice as our forefathers. God help our childrens children. (I apoligize but,it may be time to load your muskets people).

If you're going to insult anyone else's intelligence, you might want to use the correct word.:rotf2:

PaulS 04-05-2010 09:32 AM

I always screw that up. I got called for that recently some where else.

Capitalism is not sustainable.

Socialism is not sustainable.

Hybrid Social / Capitalism? Dunno, but it looks like we might find out.

Short version is, someone has to pay for things. Something has to inspire people to create wealth and jobs.

Government can't create wealth by creating guvmint jobs because SOMEBODY has to generate wealth in order to pay for guvmint jobs and the associated salaries. Today 60% of Americans pay for the other 40% or more accurately 60% of Americans pay money into the system, 40% don't and out guvmint SPENDS 40% more than it takes in by borrowing from others.

Bottom line - Is THAT sustainable?

Just bustin' on you because of the irony of it. It's very common for people to mess up that one.

I don't get caught up in spelling but your :) right about the irony:uhuh:.

Another one is when I quickly type their, there or they're.

Reply to PaulS,

I take it you do not love me anymore or you do not understand my post and can only call me "names". (well I think I got over the later by 2nd grade.) Being as you do not even know me I figure you do not have a articulate response to the post. But take a shot at if you wish. I may not be a "scholar" but I know when someone is unable to reply with out being insulting. (Maybe you really want me to run for office, sorry if I took it wrong.)

So we're now a communist country? Pls. explain your thoughts. Let me know when your going to "load your musket"?

BTW - I still love my country.

Yup, I have no articulate response.

I'll bet the Secret Service has already done a background check.

There's tons of new militia groups available to join. And with the nice weather here, I can't think of a more fun thing to do than going deep into the woods to set up fields-of-fire and fashion homemade bombs with paranoid friends.

While I prefer to hang with the racist, christian, redneck tea baggers, I did notice more militia talk from the left. Curious why that would be, enlighten me, anyone?????

capitalism is unsustainable only after you've failed at it...blame capitalism and become a socialist...

funny how the socialists expect the capitalists to continue to sustain their failed, bankrupt, big government socialist programs while at the same time declaring capitalism unsustainable...

quite a conundrum :uhuh:

what is left when you've failed at socialism?????

Probably because they're mostly uneducated hillbillies that have nothing better to do than shoot at the station wagons rusting away in their yards, drink murky liquor distilled in bathtubs and sleep with their sisters.

Joe 04-05-2010 06:32 PM

The FBI says that 273 new militia groups, most of them pissed off at Obamacare, immigration, and Wall St. bailouts - have formed since the the inauguration.

clearly..the folks that whine the most when being referred to as socialists.....they're also liars...:uhuh:

but you are right Spence.. in a way...socialist might not be adequate to describe the/you Progressives.....because they take great pride in constantly engaging in twisting lies and half truths, the Progressive will smirk and tell you that they're not socialists because in their minds, they are engaged in a "third way"...a special blend of communism and fascism....which is why they can look at lesser examples around the world and at their failing programs here and not ever see failure except that they have not gone far enough, in their minds....but the opportunity for them to go farther than ever before been granted, the main stream media is providing a vast propoganda tool and still....real Americans are resisiting this Big Government / insignificant individual experiment .....and as they do, they are attacked, mocked and ridiculed by the least presidential President in history together with his petulent little supporters.... who clearly would have preferred the Brits if we had the Revolutionary War to do all over again....we could play little word games over what constitutes socialism, which is a distraction I'm sure that the Progressives would prefer over looking at the massive damage being inflicted by this hateful regime that you've regretfully elected......:devil2:

BTW....it was your POS president who said 'If They Bring a Knife to the Fight, We Bring a Gun' and also encouraged his fleabag supporters to "go out and get in peoples faces"

so if the musket reference somehow leads to dangerous militias.... I wonder what your president's statements might lead to???:uhuh:

Rasmussen report:

On major issues, 48% of voters say that the average Tea Party member is closer to their views than President Barack Obama. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 44% hold the opposite view and believe the president's views are closer to their own.

Among voters not affiliated with either major political party, 50% say they're closer to the Tea Party while 38% side with the President.

Eighty-seven percent (87%) of those in the Political Class say their views are closer to the president.

Sixty-three percent (63%) of Mainstream Americans say their views are closer to the Tea Party.

the elitist, leftist scum had better step up the attack on the Tea Party(real Americans):uhuh:

or scared for the country and what kind of country their children will have left to live in.

I'm shocked though, I thought he was going to bring the country together.

its funny how short everyone's memory is. What about the violent protests at the RNC converntion? Attack against the CT delegates?Hanging Bush in effigy? Burning the flag? I guess that was ok since it was pot smoking, college punks drinking tequila and sleeping with their dorm mates.

notice when its against republicans, the police are BAD.

I remember that before the Dem convention... they had to specifically ban bags of feces and urine because that was what the democrats enjoyed throwing at each other :rotf2::rotf2: must be a high-minded liberal way to express yourself that I don't yet understand :uhuh: being part hillbillie and all....

Hmmm... what exactly is so funny? My memory isn't what it used to be, but I don't remember ever mentioning that any of the above was acceptable. If criticizing one group means that you're in full support of all actions of the polar opposite group, then I guess you must be a hard-lined Conservative.

Joe 04-06-2010 09:54 AM

Reprehensible behavior - but a long walk from taking up arms.

belmont116 04-06-2010 12:28 PM

Ref: Trying to make a point,

We are not a communist country, not Yet any way.( wait until presidents start firing corporate executives they do not like) I would think most intelligent people would realize the "musket" thing was an attempt to also highlight an issue by making what was supposed to be a light hearted metaphor. Checked my spelling some folks are way to serious but most seem to have sense of humor. Going fishing.

stop and think for a minute -
Our government is now fully vested in the following businesses -
1. Automotive
2. Financial/Banking
3. Health Care

These are 3 of the largest industries in this country. What is stopping them from making laws to further the needs or interests to support these businesses? They've already raised taxes on tanning salons, whats next? Taxes on buying Japanese made cars? Taxes on playing sports (risks of injury)? taxes on investing in securities outside of the US?
Just think how much things have changed under Obama. You should be afraid. The possibilities are endless and I dont see them showing any restraint.

How about taxes on tobacco companies. Oh, wait. They wouldn't want to put any extra taxes on smokers would they?
