Flood recovery
3 Attachment(s)
In addition to finding a bunch of stuff, I'm also finding stuff I wasn't expecting underwater - like 2 Skinz plug bags. The big bag in particular smells worse now than after 5 years going from the surf to my truck and back. So a lot of cleaning.
Of course, then there is cleaning some plugs from in the bags... |

And some more - including a very rare favorite that I refuse to toss if I know a bluefish is within a mile of it...
Wife tells me she just found more plugs - gotta go. Yes, that is a lot of other stuff in the background getting tossed. |
john, hope everything turns up for the better.
Looks like some places, except for the lure dryers, I rode by today on my bike ride. went back with jeep and somebody had already scored the good stuff! don't give up the golf clubs. |
scouting down in soco last week during the rain, I went over a flooded road and a "V" crossed the road right in front of me

You wanna hear something crazy.
About 3 years ago I was doing some maintenance on a Spheros 8000 and dropped a tiny little washer that was part of the roller bearing assembly.I basically had a fit trying to find this thing.Ended up ordering a new one. After everything we've been through, throwing a ton of stuff away and completely cleaning and sterilizing the basement Jane shows me this little washer in her hand and says to me "Is this the little fishing thingy from your reel that you had a complete fit over 3 years ago?" It was. |
Justspent the day at my friends glass studio.. It's right next to the pawtuxet river in Cranston...holy crap- there was 2 inches of silty mud on the floors, everything was ruined... Such a disaster for her. She's throwing everything out- everything. No insurance.. Nothing. sad.. So sad. :(

Sorry to hear about those who had flooding in their homes and businesses. A good friend of mine is still not back in his house yet. Lost a lot.
|
My sympathies to you guys. If our power had gone out I would have been in the exact same position. Fortunately, our sump pump kept us relatively dry.
|
My brother-in-law lives in Western Cranston RI and is STILL pumping around 1000 gallons of water a day out of his basement. Ground water level is just so high it is just pouring in.
