Need some help here. Have to get a present for my friends' 5yo daughter. What's popular with the kids that age now? I know she wants a cell phone, but that ain't happening.

spot on. Nobody does this anymore.

A Barbie fisihng rod (or Sponge Bob if she isn't into Barbie - BTW I think Roy fishes a Sponge Bob rod) and the promise to take her fishing. Time with a child is the greatest gift but I am not sure to whom.

The savings bonds reminds me of that movie Risky Business. Do you remember what Tom Cruise and his friends used their saving bonds for - pretty funny!

All kidding aside the savings bond thing is pretty cool. I forget how it works but I think you pay like $25 and they give you a bond that says $50 - looks very impressive.

I am sure she will love anything you get her. Tell her happy five - they grow up way too fast. :fishin:
