Weights

Hey guys was wondering if I could get your help on placing the weights in plugs. After I drill out the holes do I use glue to hold them in or wood putty to cover the holes back up? what do you guys do?

Minwax wood filler! Stuff the holes and sand smooth and you barely see them! They do not shrink or crack at all!

How long does it take the Minwax wood filler to harden so that you can sand it flush and paint?

Just be carefull if you put the plug back on the lathe to sand it smooth. If you have the speed too fast it will shoot the weight back at you so make sure you got eye protection on. I put a touch of epoxy in with mine just to be safe.

I epoxy them in then cover them with the Elmers Wood Filler....works for me
