BigFish 04-21-2010 07:38 PM

I'd say!! Nice fish!!

PRBuzz 04-21-2010 07:42 PM

No, that's got to be 70# can't you see the strain on the face? It helps to also hold the fish out at arm's length.......:uhuh:

HESH2 04-22-2010 06:46 AM

mickey your the man very nice fish.

Rappin Mikey 04-22-2010 07:02 AM

Fish all caught on pencils. And why do people keep making fun of me about the 70# thing. I didn't make up the rumor, just thought it would be interesting to some people on the board. Anyway, got around ten fish on top. Kept that one for me being pretty sure these are freshies as all of the fish were @ keeper size with nice colors. Stay out of my parking lot!!!

The Iceman 6 04-22-2010 07:36 AM

Great reports Mikey.

Peter Lajoie 04-22-2010 09:01 AM

Not sure of 20 pounds, but most certainly looks like 20 twisted teas

decksweeper 04-22-2010 10:07 AM

nice early fish Mikey..I need to get out there...just haven't had the time..

WoodyCT 04-22-2010 10:44 AM

Freshies up there?

Holdovers from the hahba.

Rappin Mikey 04-22-2010 11:00 AM

Same debate every year with this. Believe it or not, freshies are around. An occasional fish keeper size, I'd say holdovers, Keepers every fish, I'd say freshy. But what do I know? The migration has begun my friend. Woody, when are they fresh anyway? I think I'm done posting pics. There are a lot of haters around here.

Rappin Mikey 04-22-2010 11:50 AM

Alright, I'm back. I'll post some more holdover pics tomorrow. Hey Woody with that accent You should be called WoodyBoston.:jump1:

Yup, looks like the parking lot at scusset....nice catch Mikey...didn't think they'd be in the canal yet, but you've proven me wrong...

choggieman 04-22-2010 04:25 PM

I wasn't being nasty in any sense... the location is undisclosed to those who aren't regulars. Its just so obvious to a regular that I pointed it out

I agree with woodrow.... same size fish in same quantities 2.5 weeks ago in same basic area to me spells holdover

It's just jealousy, dont let it bother you....:uhuh: One of these years maybe I will get my poop together and catch a fish there!

We all know its a right of passage (of spring) when you start showing up you fish pics, your a big boy and you know there will be some haters, its part of life....never mind the internet.

Rappin Mikey 04-22-2010 05:25 PM

Hey Choogie, next time you see me in the lot say hi. Every year, I fish there, than two to three weeks later, I get fish in my home town. I know they aren't holdovers. I think it's pretty much when the herring show up, the striped ones are usually a 2 to 3 weeks behind. When people start getting them in the canal in a week or two, which is usual. Mayish are they holdovers too? Anyway, that is what I believe. I was getting fish out there three weeks ago myself. Just not the same as the last week. That's my 2 dollars. Tight lines. And keep out of my lot! And say hi when you see me there next. We probably would get along. A few teas and some laughs, holdovers or freshies it is all fun. Peace Rappin Bomba!

NICE FISH DID YOU FALL IN ????:buds:
I KNOW THAT PARKING LOT
SEE YOU IN THE HOME TOWN :soon:

rizzo 04-28-2010 05:53 AM

I used to fish CT alot in late March to May. I think some of those fish have to be right on the tails of the herring schools coming up and some are fresh. The schools of herring in that area are so big I think they are hard to ignore. I do also agree that some very nice fish winter over in spots too. Who knows except where else can you break 30 pounds in early April?

Notaro 04-28-2010 05:46 PM

awesome catch, man! =)
