Herring video from yesterday

My son and I went out yesterday searching for some schoolies. We made a stop first to check out G.S. and look for some herring. He was very interested in seeing some especially after doing a cleanup last weekend at our local run. We were not disappointed :btu:

Great to see John. I can remember the year before the herring ban there were NO herring at GS. I mean NONE.

Yeh, up and down on the numbers of herring. When we were there Saturday I showed Liam herring in each spot from the stream to the bridge, and I was able to point them out to him going up the stream where it gets steep north of the bridge.

John, Did you visit the opening ceremonies at GS yesterday? I was there with the Mrs. BTW, keep the camera out of the suds, that's my domain -- what are you trying to edge me out of a job :-) ???

No, didn't see them. How did it go? These videos were from Saturday.

Yeh, you have no threat from me drifting into your realm :rotf2:

Don't know if you saw the name of my production company - "Googan Productions". Figured you would get a kick out of that :buds:

We had a lot of fun and it was a great experience - for Liam to see all the herring and for me to see Liam having such a blast.

John, I know exactly what you're talking about. I use to take my daughter there from the days when we brought her down to the water in the car seat so she could watch them splash around. It just sad to think so many of these heroic fish are being killed by the midwater trawlers. I did a series of interviews in Maine over the last few days and the upcoming documentary is going to open a lot of eyes to this problem...and hopefully bring about change.

I thought herring were blue and pink?
