With talk about how MRFFS data is flawed causing unfair recreational marine fisheries regulations I wanted everyone to know that there is a Marine Fisheries VOLUNTARY on-line angler logbook system available to Mass and RI recreational fishermen. You can register at one of the following websites. Note that all data submitted is completely confidential. When data is processed for use in fisheries statistics it is scrubbed for confidentiality first.

While harvest data is vitally important you should also include C&R numbers and “skunks” when your effort doesn’t produce fish.

The more recreational fishermen that participate the more accurate the data will be.
