Karma
Thought you guys would get a kick out of this one.
Hey, Rep. Moran, how do you say “karma” in Spanish? Michael Moran of Brighton is a staunch supporter of the “sanctuary” approach to illegal immigration we have here in Massachusetts. He voted against the Perry amendment that would require applicants for state benefits to prove they’re here legally. Moran voted for subsidized college tuition for illegals, too. It’s safe to say that no Massachusetts politician has done more to make illegal immigrants feel welcome. Illegal immigrants like 27-year-old Isaias Naranjo, who (ahem) “met” Moran on the streets of Brighton last week. According to Fox 25, Naranjo was driving 60 mph when he slammed his car into Moran’s. Naranjo was also drunk, driving without a license and - in an only-in-Massachusetts twist - was wearing a “Mexican costume” at the time. I don't see anything funny or "karmatic" about being hit by a drunk driver doing 60.
Have you ever been privy to it? If so, I'd really like to know whats so amusing. |
if you are a legislator who supports drivers licenses, healthcare and other government services and benefits, in-state college tuition etc...etc...for people who are Massachusettes and in this country illegally..... and then an unlicensed drunken illegal alien in a mexican costume driving an uninsured car... slams into you.....with the driver belligerently proclaiming that he knows that you and the State Police can't really do much about it...that's pretty damn funny....ironic.....and I believe...reaping what you've sown...:uhuh:
I guess if you are a progressive... you could claim that the only reason that he drinks is because he's been forced to live in the shadows in this horrribly repressive country and the new Arizona law must have sent him off on a bender...:rotf2: KARMATIC |

Maybe 'ironic' is better....Karma would be if an illegal alien hit someone advocating shooting illegals on sight. Then we'd lose the illegal and the psycho in one fell swoop and all be better off for it.

Karma - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Karma (Sanskrit: कर्म About this sound kárma (help·info), kárman- "act, action, performance"[1]; Pali: kamma) in Indian religions is the concept of "action" or "deed", understood as that which causes the entire cycle of cause and effect (i.e., the cycle called saṃsāra) originating in ancient India and treated in Hindu, Jain, Sikh and Buddhist philosophies.[2] 'Karma' is an Eastern religious concept in contradistinction to 'faith' espoused by Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam), which view all human dramas as the will of God as opposed to present - and past - life actions. In theistic schools of Hinduism, humans have free will to choose good or evil and suffer the consequences, which require the will of God to implement karma's consequences, unlike Buddhism or Jainism which do not accord any role to a supreme God or gods. In Eastern beliefs, the karmic effects of all deeds are viewed as actively shaping past, present, and future experiences. The results or 'fruits' of actions are called karma-phala.[3] Likwid, sure seems to fit the definition to me. Joe, could be ironic as well. Seems to fit either way! |
Yeah, we totally get our kicks out of people getting hit by drunk drivers.
Stay classy dude. |
Likwid, I never said it was funny. You did. If you do not see the "karma" or "irony" in the whole story, you will never get it. I would not like to see anyone get hurt but many do every day. Maybe if Mr. Moran did his job, this person would have not had the ability to get drunk, get in a car and plow into him at sixty mph? Just a thought. By the way, my 18 year old daughter calls me dude! When my 26 year old daughter was her age she did once and a while as well. Now its just Dad. Maybe that has something to do with it. Maybe you are younger than I and we just see things from a different point of view.

Paul, it means exactly what it says. I felt the opinion of the author of this was funny. Likwid implied that I thought the fact that there was an accident was funny. It is not. But I do find the whole "karma" angle of the author funny. That is why I posted the definition of Karma. And I did say the "whole story" not just the fact that there was an accident in my reply to Likwid.

I think it's funny as hell:rotf2: Stop being so PC for God sake. I hope the guy is ok but I think he got a little "ironic justice"

Maybe this was the reality check that he needed to pull his head out of his ass and realize that the illegals are a chronic disease that need to be expunged from this country, not nurtured and allowed to flourish. Iran has the right idea in this aspect. |
