I was driving down South Pamet Road early one fine AM and so much pine pollen was blowing out of the woods I thought that it was smoke! Nearly called 911! That was a couple of years ago. This year I was reading out on the front lawn and I had to keep cleaning my glasses for the pollen.

Took the kids to Houghtons Pond fishing with the MSBA Striper Swipers last Sunday - The pollen covered the surface of the inner banks, it was pretty thick just sitting there on top - I think I would call it more of a Grellow. :uhuh:

I was kayaking at Buckmaster last night, and when I got to shore the wind picked up. OMG! I thought it was fog rolling in over the pond.
That is until I breathed in a healthy dose and gakked up a lung!
I had to load the yak while breathing through the nose. I headed home with the worse case of itchy eye I have ever had, and proceeded to flush out my eyes and sinuses when I got home.

(It kind of reminded me of the movie "The Happening" about the worlds' plants developing a defensive compound that they release into the air in times of stress.)

Good thing it rained last night to clam things down a bit.
