Great tune Ed.

I have an album , yes vinyl, of Mr. Belew called Lone Rhinoceros. Great album and cover. The sounds he gets out of his guitar are quite intriguing. Like a friggin zoo.

Anyone remember the "Zappa in the Cappa" Tour?
I think it was '79. He played the Providence Civic Center.

No, only in Boston ... either the Music Hall or the Orpheum .. I never paid attention to tour names .. My first Zappa album was Filmore East 1971 .. So I was pretty excited when I got tickets to my first Zappa show . I went planning on seeing Flo and Eddy only to see Frank leading a 57 piece orchestra (Waka Ja Waka) . To tell you the truth I was dissapointed . I don't think he even picked up his guitar ? He just waved a baton .. :wall:I soon learned, what ever album you were listening to, Frank had moved on and the band was totally different at the live shows as was the music . I saw some really great shows . I feel the loss when seeing ZPZ .. Never thought I'd hear that stuff again .

Poor Lawrence, he knows not what he knows not

I saw Frank at the Civic Center, can't say when that was as i drank too much beer before the show, although i remember i had a good time . Was a long while ago though.
