that's easy enough but if you want to do that faster, Mike at M&D's sells a step drill bit that does that in one operation. He has 2 sizes. Splashnplug makes them I believe.

anyone that saw my display on darters may have noted the step drill that I use.. I know I pointed it out to several people.. the bottom/assembled darter had the belly grommet in place...I'll check anbd see if I have a pic. on my PC here...I have the pictures from the display on my home PC..

it's an older picture, but you can see how it works.. i bought mine from Mcmaster Carr... i also have one one of the machinists here made...I have two sizes.. both fit perfectly... I'd have to research the diameters, as, with most things these days.. I've forgotten...

new to plug building. Any ideas on types of wood to use. Yhyey all say AYC but where do I get this on the east coast
