Why does a law REQUIRE one to be in the union?
Because in Mass and RI the Unions have bought and paid for majority representation in state government. The taxpayer doesn't stand a chance... |
As far as I know there is no law that requires you to join a union.

Today, Unions do significantly more harm to public school systems than they help. Seniority based wages, strong-armed tactics, invincibility to firings... all reasons that contribute to the bloated expense of the US education system while still lagging behind in actual education to the students.
