Grundens

any of you guys using the Grunden 343 Sund fleece pullover in the late spring though early fall? just looking for something lightweight and cool that will keep me dry when its pouring and when the surf is cranking.

You'll sweat your %$&# off in the sund. It's warm and fleece lined. If you want something lightweight go with the petrus pullover. It's light but still really rugged and you can layer under it as needed. I love this jacked and wear it more than anything else. I think they make an unlined Sund but I don't have any experience with it. The fleece Sund is a great jacket too. It just heavier. You really can't go wrong with Grundens anything. Helly Hansen also makes a nice jacket that is comparable to the Petrus.

Grundens and cool don't really go together because all of their stuff is not breathable. Although I did see something about them coming up with a breathable top. In general you can stay comfortable if you wear something underneath that will wick away sweat.

They've come out with a ton of softshell stuff.

Pretty true to size.

Yeah, looks nice but I don't see a pullover in anything other than hi vis yellow yet. The softshell stuff also seems to all lack neoprene cuffs.

i've got one of the soft shells- great every day jacket but the lack of neoprene cuffs does make it useless in the surf.

That's a sharp jacket but I found the sleeves to be really short. The lami top looks a little better but lacks the hood and you have to deal with beyond unecessarily large aquaskinz 'esque logo.

I just bought a Coleman's Breathable rain jacket from Walmart. $30
