wading boots
Im getting my first pair of waders soon and i have a question on boots from LLbean. ill mostly be fishing the canal and i know the rocks can get slippery so ive been told to try to find boots with felt bottoms but llbean doesnt carry any on there website. i was wondering if these would work instead with there "Siped Aqua Stealth rubber outsole"

Felt bottoms work great at the canal, except when trying to climb the banks at night/early in the morning. Having felt is like walking on ice when the grass is covered in dew.
That being said, those soles look like they'll have great grip on the rocks. Just be careful on the bubbleweed and the dark rocks close to the waterline and you'll be all set. |

I just got the River Trends studded. I really like them. The are surprisingly light for the size and very comfortable. Haven't had any slippage yet and I get out to some pretty slimy spots. They stink pretty bad though although I don't think it has anything to do with the boots themselves. :yak5:

korkers make the best all around wading boot with out a doubt. intercahangable soles for different applications, although all I run are the studed fellt soles

You don't want felt, that black/green slime get on/in there and it stinks after a while, those boots should be fine and if you don't like them you can exchange them with no Questions asked
