Ditto. Fished 2 different spots with plugs and eels and had the same results. Only thing I got was a scraped up hand from climbing onto a barnacle covered rock.

Crash landing

I hit an outflow and had a fish on first drift (short drift at that) using a bone colored loaded Redfin. Dropped it though.

Weeds were an issue, got some bumps, and then the tide crapped out and the fish moved out.

Skunked, but sure I could have done something had I gotten there earlier in the tide.

Dinks to small keepers; extended dusk bite, nothing a couple hours after 'dark'

bassballer 06-25-2010 12:32 PM

Steady pick of schoolies but one decent fish around 15#.. Finicky bite though. Hooking up on the second take. Fished from 9-12. The mosquitos were absolutly killing me though.

That moon sucked, 3 hours of NADA in a very fishy spot - I wish i could have stayed until after the moon set. I wouldn't even try until 3am or so.

yes, but had to really work tight to the bottom and away from the shallows though, forgot the bug spray also, wind didn't pick up till after 1am for some relief....bluefish were out as well

chrisjoe13 06-25-2010 01:13 PM

Fished last night from 9:20p-1:45a, two spots and no fish.:smash:

decksweeper 06-25-2010 01:20 PM

fished wed night...nothing...

luds 06-25-2010 01:23 PM

Endless supply of 24" fish Wednesday night in the spot that has given me my personal best.

Circlehook 06-25-2010 01:37 PM

Tonights my last shot a good fish for a couple weeks, so I am hoping for somthing to weigh in. Been giving it hell all week with little sleep, so somthing has to give.

I am going to Virginia Beach to my buddys house right on the Chesapeake, I wonder if there are any "holdover" cows down there?

Two spots, 3 hours, near the entrance of the bay - nada.

I did get the bleep scared out of me when someone crawled out on my ledge & asked me if anything was happening. Did not see him until he was 10 feet away.

Ask Eben what happened when he did that to me about 15 years ago....

Managed a few fish Thursday night; dropped a few as well. Fished the same spot last night, similar time span, without a hit. Just a little more water on Thursday, but I also reeled in a live squid on a stubby needle. That the bass were present feeding on squid may explain why I was hooking up on a bone Red Fin.

Chef and I fished Gansett and Jamestown for the big skunk

MikeToole 06-26-2010 08:12 AM

Four hours of eels and plugs resulted in a few small fish. Followed by 2 hours of chunking picked up 2 in the mid 30" range.

fishrick 06-26-2010 09:48 AM

No matter

Gotta be there to get some, so going tonite, try a few spots in E. RI.

Spinfish 06-26-2010 12:36 PM

Found a little rip that's been good to me the last 4 nights.

Steady pic of small keepers, 4 mid teens and a couple mid 20's.

I was going to try some new water but by the sounds of things I think I'll stay at it.

hyefisherman2 06-26-2010 01:09 PM

got fish to 30lbs early am yesterday.

....on a boat though lol

Thumper 06-26-2010 03:21 PM

Last three predawn thru daybreaks: one 26" fish total at the Canal. Even Old Skip was baffled and hitless on his Canal perch this morning, and he'd been in there since 2 AM. A deep night eeling Beach under the moon Thurs. netted me one small bass, but the other eel I used literally drowned hitless before I removed it over an hour later.

I can't create any consistent game plan. Two nights prior, this identical itinerary delivered me a 24 and a 17.

Tagger 06-28-2010 03:58 AM

fished the beach Saturday night .. No wind ,, flat as far as the eye could see .no surf. I've learned I might as well just leave when it's like that . Fished it anyway .. skunk .

luds 06-28-2010 12:23 PM

I'll add to the positivity in this thread and share that I was horribly skunked on Saturday night followed by a 1 fish to show for my 2AM wake up. :soon: HOPEFULLY!
