Wet suit funk
Gonna break out the wet suit this weekend. Like a moron did not clean it at the end of last season. What product or products do you guys recomend to freshen up my funky suit? Thanks Charlie

for my suits I use a wetsuit cleaner/conditioner by O'neil.
But if you need a quickfix soak it in a tub with warm water and a little dish soap. Let it soak for a while then rinse it, dry it, should be good to go. |
dish cloth funk
same with those sink sponges
ever get one thats sat wet for too long and it smells like P-U ! well i found out by setting them out in the rain it completely eliminates all that Oder quite mysteriously i think it has to do with enzymes...not really sure... same thing with blood i had a blood stain on a shirt from a nose bleed that would never come out even after five washings then one day i took it off outside and left it on the wall LATER .....it rained that night the next day the blood stain was gone |
Don't use dish soap. It is much too harsh for the neoprene. It will eventually break it and the sealed seams down.
Spend 6 bucks and get Mcnetts wetsuit and drysuit shampoo. The 8 oz bottle will last you two years. For now just hose it off well and hang it to dry then turn it inside out to dry that side. |
I use Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo on mine every so often. No damage to my last suit from the soap after 6 seasons of use.
