Deep diver lips

Anybody got experience making deep diver lips? I bought some SS strips and I'm tryin to figure out what shape and size to make, or should I just go the GTS route and raise a regular sized lip on the face with a more horizontal bend?

BTW, the K & S SS strips aint bad, less than a buck, can probably get 8 lips from one strip, come different gauges, but I have only seen 1" max width and I dont know how they'll react to saltwater.

If you really get desperate for stainless you can get it in 22Ga. at Lowe's

I would look at a catalog like moores lures has. I would trace the
size lip I wanted and transfer to the SS.

I've got some old deep diving plugs of all shapes sizes and brands, some have rounded lips, others have pointed lips, some lips have steeper angles than others, anybody know the difference in action? More horizontal would probably be deeper as would more surface area, what about shape, and what about having the loop out on the lip? There must some simple physics involved we can figure out?
