Bluefish up the ying yang
 

Narragansett Bay is loaded with Blues. Big pods of 5 to 7#. Some up to 10# mixed in but there are literally acres and acres of them in the southern part of the Bay.

Caught Blues until my arms were tired Sunday morning. It felt good even though I am not a bluefish fan. It was just nice to have something decent pulling line.

With single hooks and punched barbs, that'd be a blast. Glad you had a good trip out.

Yeah they were all around me the other day when I was fluking ///

I didn,t see any that large & that,s a good thing .

they have been working on top everyday day .but as long as I don,t catch any they live .

My depth chargers are armed & ready :soon::smash:

Had a chunk bait out all day yesterday in MV Sound and not a single hit. No blues here!

I love the bigger ones on a 9wt.

Clammer, I know your a closet bluefish fan and if for nothing else; I like to cut strips off them for fluking; nothing can pull that skin off the hook;).

I like them too but not on the end of 300 feet of wire and a bunker spoon. 8 to 10 lbs but in 50 to 70 feet of h2o. Barnstable was loaded with little tiny ones last week at nite. Made mince meat out of my eels.
