Spool Lip

After seeing my 706z laying around apart for the last 6 months I put it back together last night. I noticed a little nick on the spool lip. What do you guys use to remove these types of nicks and how should I go about doing it? I was thinking of using just a really fine emery cloth but wasn't sure.

if it is in a spot on the lip where the line will touch it, I do exactly what you suggest. If not, I leave it alone.

I would use a fine file, the one I use is a points file

Back in the day cars had points under the Distributor cap
