2 nights ago, a boat thought they were going to set up in the middle of the rip I'd been fishing for 4 hours. Couple casts with my jig and they moved on.

Have seen the EPO set up just outside the Sandwich Marina a few mornings with their binocs.

Anyone know what the fine is for boats caught fishing in the harbor?

It'll end when the commercial season closes. But the CoE has been cracking down. The CoE doesn't have enforcement/ticketing power--but the EPOs and USCG do ;)

ill agree that the boat fishing in the canal sees an increase during commercial season, but it isn't limited to commercial season. in fact, with the good fishing this spring i personally witnessed more then a half a dozen boats on separate mornings fishing well within the confines of the canal. guys see breaking fish and they just can't help themselves.
