tom brady

i'm predicting this guy is all done. he's got a hot wife who makes money, a new son, and he himself is a cabillionaire. why should he be fired up on sundays and get his ribs broke by 400# lineman.

tom brady will be mediocore at best this season and then get traded next season. he looks less enthusiastic at training camp this year.

vineyardblues 08-02-2010 11:00 AM

I hope your wrong :grins:

BigFish 08-02-2010 11:16 AM

How many training camp sessions have you attended?? Just curious....you can't tell how "enthusiastic" a player is from 1 session??

He has never been anything less than amazing so I don't know what this is based on??

stcroixman 08-02-2010 01:53 PM

2 points -
He is still 1 of 2 best QB's in NFL

Bridget Moynihan is hotter than Gisele. HE made a mistake there IMO.

not claiming to be an expert by any means. in fact,i probably the least amount of football knowledge on the site. but he definately was not amazing last year imo. and he'll never be the same after an acl/ mcl injury. just wanted to generate some discussion on this guy.

but i'm still standing by my statement that he's going downhill and will not be with the patriots much longer.

MrHunters 08-02-2010 02:40 PM

funny little thing called pride that might interfere with your projection. If that doesn't then you are probably right.
Doesn't need to play for money
Doesn't need to play for fame
Doesn't need to play for records
Doesn't need to play for a ring
Doesn't need to play for the chicks

SurfCaster413 08-02-2010 05:16 PM

Brady is gonna be a stud this year, all he wants to do is WIN!!! beat the jets!!!!!!!

Slipknot 08-02-2010 05:46 PM

Nonsense

Last I knew there is 11 guys on the field
Brady is in the top 2 Qb's in the league with that guy from Indy, and Tom can make up for a weaker front line and other stuff like that. He has been getting more frustrated as he ages, like when his receiver just could not get it and he clearly said "how f$#$^^% hard is that?" you know the one who didn't think he needed to learn the plays :smash:
He will be fine this year, last year was a different story. The organization has not been handling things very well this season IMO and I'm not sure how they will do, but I will still go to most of the home games.

Raven 08-02-2010 06:16 PM

he's being taken advantage
of on salary by Craft, that's for sure.

i really think he should become an Actor
not that he isn't an excellent QB

but he needs a change
then he can kiss other women :buds:

It's the hair. But I have to agree with you. His heart is not in the game anymore. He's done, he'll be playing for the Raiders next year.

You have a better chance of seeing him in women's clothing than in a Raiders uniform.......he'll retire before that ever happens

stcroixman 08-02-2010 08:51 PM

I could see him in a 49'er uniform if he leaves town. That was his hometown team as a kid.

I am surprised he isn't holding out like Revis.

Raider Ronnie 08-02-2010 08:53 PM

I think Tom is going to see what it felt like to be Peyton Manning a few years back, especially if Wes Welker fully regains his old self.
The offense will be one of the best in the game but the defense will suck.
One of the best at what he does in the game (I say he's in the top 5-7)
His defense is going to kill him so if he has a bad day they will loose !

Glamazon will want to live the Brady Mansion, he'll have to play for them or not at all

i wouldnt say that, aslong as the corners step up we should be fine. i saw Spikes practicing, hes gunna be a BIG help with Mayo, only if we scored Peppers for a pass rush...:smash:

PRESEASON 10 days away vs the saints:devil2:

MarshCappa 08-03-2010 09:10 AM

I can't get into the Pats until the Revs season is over! The world cup turned me into a believer this year!:rotf2:

Oh and Brady will be fine. You got to be kidding me with this stuff, come on now, he's one of the best ever! They will sign him to a deal that lets him retire as a Patriot and hopefully we can win a couple more during that time frame. Let's enjoy what we have guys!

Raven 08-03-2010 09:33 AM

oh don't get me wrong

i think he's the best quarter back of all time...
even better than Peyton manning who's a little more accurate
running and passing than Brady thus far

but he's worth More $$$ than the Patriots
are Paying him and he knows it

he can be the absolute best Quarter back at throwing the foot ball
but that won't matter if the receivers keep dropping the ball !
or miss reading his cues.....

Saltheart 08-05-2010 12:22 PM

Brady will be fine. I'm worried more about Welker.

Stroth 08-15-2010 07:01 PM

Talk to anyone from LA or Washington and they'll also tell you the same. No position in the NFL is more important than QB.

Brady is easily the best patriot QB in history and he arguably is one of the top five QBS in the entire history of the NFL. Stop hating on him and enjoy every second you can.

In the best sports city in the country he is without question our biggest star. Enjoy him while you can because there will never be someone quite the same again.

I should have watched more Bruins games when Ray Bourque or Bobby Orr played. I wish I had taken in every Celtics game during 1986.

This season will just add another chapter to Tom's legacy. Why do guys like him continue to play? The same thing that got him here in the first place...insatiable competitiveness. You can't match the rush of walking onto that field and competing anywhere else. Money, women,.. none of it matters, guys like brady want lasting glory and hopefully Tom will get what he deserves and we'll have another superbowl championship team!

GO PATS!!!!

bassballer 08-20-2010 10:48 AM

1. brady is 2 yrs off knee surgery and claims hes a 100%

2. Reported- hes still haunted by the way last season ended and is EXTRA motivated

3. Brady, Moss, Endleman, Tate, Price, Hernandez, are having stellar camps. Saying that Moss hasnt taken camp this serious is years.

4. Brady threw for 4300 yrds 28 tds last season and people claim he was "%$%$%$%$. Which by the eye test he could have been, and this was 1 yr after knee surgery.

Brady is going to be an absolute stud this year.

Any statement saying he is done is moronic.

Raider Ronnie 08-20-2010 04:13 PM

As a season ticket holder of many years and a tranning camp junkie I could not dis agree more, Brady has been very animated and quick to jump in and work with the young kids. He did have a sub-par season last year but he did miss a year of football and Sam Aiken was his third reciever and Watson can't catch a cold.An they never commited to running the ball, with the young te's and crumpler added to Endelman and a developing Tate you should see much more prodution in the redzone. If they commit to the run you shoud see 30 plus td's from brady with fewer attempts from a year ago. The real question is how fast will the deffense grow up?

Was just discussing this while fishing the other night. In my opinion, it will be another year where the Patriots win games, not by shutting down the other team, but by scoring way more points than the other team - if that makes sense.

Look for them to be put in a lot of positions where they need a scoring drive for the run, or have to make that 1st down late in the game to run out more clock. I foresee at least one or two occasions where we see Coach's lack of confidence in the defense during a game deciding moment - along the lines of last year's attempt to go for it on 4th down instead of punting.

Slipknot 08-30-2010 03:48 PM

hopefully by the playoffs, the defense will improved enough to give them a chance against Indy.
That is the biggest hurdle I think, getting past Indy.
I'm pretty sure they can handle the Jets.
Gonna be a real battle this year, can't wait.

The Jets' biggest hurdle is Mark Sanchez. He looks horrible on Hard Knocks.
