Infections from fish can be deadly. Remember a few yrs ago two different incidents involving bluefish. Flesh eating bacteria isn't a joke. Both guys died from organ failure even after they tried cutting off body parts to save then. :( Simple wound to death wasn't 2-3 days.

Those pliers look like they should have been disinfected before touching the hook. Best to leave it in and cut off split rings to the lure and immobilize the hook. Let the ER folks earn their keep. LOL

Full face shield next time? ;)

Back in pilgrim times that dude wouldn't have made it past the age of 3. Not to knock terry. But if this was a charter the dude should not have beenn handling his own fish. the results of charters handling their own fish are obvious in this situation. Again not knocking terry I'm just voicing an opinion or more of a suggestion really. Gross pics tho.
