Rick Buss Speaking
 

Just thought I would throw this out to you guys.

Rick Buss will be speaking at the Plum Island Surfcasters Meeting Tuesday Night August 17th at the Newbury Fire Hall.

"Rick has been recreationally kayaking for years. He fishes, dives, and snorkels off his kayaks, and calls the waters of Boston Harbor his backyard. As a Navy veteran and former lifeguard, Rick has always been on, under or around the ocean. He has lived in the Belle Isle area for years and can show you a different perspective of Boston."

He will be doing a lecture on Kayaking 101. This should be a really good presentation for the newbies (Myself Included) :D and I'm sure he will answer any other questions you may have.

Doors open at 6:30 and Sheila usually has something going in the kitchen for supper for a small fee.

Members are free and non-members are $5.....but if you end up joining the $5 goes towards your membership if you decide to join.

I'm psyched for this after just getting a yak last week......

Rick is a great guy and his presentation is sure to be entertaining. He's been kayaking and fishing forever and really knows his stuff.

I plan on going. Hope to see some others interested in kayak fishing from the club.
