A Freaky Friday the 13th that won't end....
Sos, all day yesterday I was fired up about the conditions to fish last night. Well, on my ride home from work, the truck starts makin an unusual, sound in my brite wisdom, I decided to stick my head out the window on rt 24 s at about 80mph to get a better hear.....well, good bye lucky Red Sox visor onto the median. Strike one. Rush hour so no way I was gonna go back for it.
Conditions at my spot PERFECT. Slow. TINY fish. I break off on a fish, sayin to Dan that it wasn't big. Well, about 15 minutes later Dan gets a fish and low and behold, there is my leader stickin out of its mouth. Incredible. Then I continued to be a spectator all nite as Dan SLAYed 14 INCH fish. I did end up gettin my biggest dog of the year though. So I says at 2 this mornin, screw it, I'm goin to look for my visor and set the universe straight. Nothin like playin real life frogger on rte 24 at 2:30 in the mornin on a friday nite when all the yahoos are headin home from the bars.....I got it. Everything SHOULD be good. Well, the freakyness continued this mornin as the wife and I were layin in bed, heard a loud bang, and our power went out. Go outside and there is a smokin squirrel layin in the driveway under our transformer. He ate his last supper. Panic stricken, I went and dug the 40 eels out of the live well in fear they would die.. NStar was actually here within a half hour and we are back in business. Now we got a 4 hour ride to a wedding at Lake George NY. Hopefully the bad luck is done........and Dan doesn't crush them tonite without me............... |
wow, I can't believe you got your hat back.
|
Sounds like your luck is changing since you got your visor back,,,, I have a hat like that and it almost got burned up on Fishers Island while I took a nap,...
