Tube question

I'm not that much of a boat fisherman and only really drift eels or chunks or chase birds. I was wondering while tubing if you go with or against the current or both? And at night is a black tube the norm? Thanks

against the current allows a slower presentation... But I'm more of a surf guy that has had success with the tube from a kayak before, so take my advice with a grain of salt

direction doesn't matter to me, where I fish anyway, could matter if you have structure . Yes black is a good choice.

against the current will get your tube spinning better and give you a slower troll but logically wouldn't most small bait be going with the current?

I struggle with this too, catch them both way... Maybe I'll keep a running tally next season.
