Shoulda brought a wetsuit... Or at least a pair of swim trunks.

BassDawg 08-16-2010 03:07 PM

if he's wearing shorts,

why not just SWIM back to terra firma?

Nebe 08-16-2010 03:17 PM

Oh he will be swimming.. :rotfl:

I witnessed the fire dept. saving 3 fishermen and then their buckets one day down there.
I guess a sign of some sort posted about the dangers would not help huh

they must have to rescue people there all the time
what the heck are they thinking:smash::wall:

JohnnyD 08-16-2010 03:22 PM

Leave him there and cull the herd.

Sea Dangles 08-16-2010 03:40 PM

Iron Mike looking for his mojo.

FishermanTim 08-16-2010 04:51 PM

Maybe post a sign with a fine/cost for rescue? Maybe if you hit the right nerve, they'll respond?

WESTPORTMAFIA 08-16-2010 05:32 PM

Looks like his head is up his arse:biglaugh:

PaulS 08-16-2010 06:03 PM

That's why I only fish at night - no one can see me.

stripermaineiac 08-16-2010 07:39 PM

LOL I have oads of places like that to fish. Nice part is once the water comes up you have it to yourself or just someone else like you.Had someone pull up to me in a boat once and asked him to leave as he was spooking the fish LOL.Some of you guys wonder where some of us get the big ones well its places like that. You wanna get the big ones it means gettin wet sometimes.Ron

Stripersurg 08-16-2010 07:58 PM

How deep is it between the ledge he's on, and the road? I'm assuming that he can't wade back in? Never been there, so I'm just curious.

Nebe 08-16-2010 07:59 PM

over the waist at high tide. Its definately a flooded wader spot, but he isnt in waders.. if it was rough, he would be in trouble.. chances are he just swam back in.

bassballer 08-17-2010 07:20 AM

Its not that deep there, but thats not really the point. You see these guys ever weekend. Usually families. Little kids.

You can't fix stupid :wall:.... anyone :fishin: in the Atlantic ocean that is un-aware of the tidal changes deserves what they get :smash:....I see them get stranded on the jetty two or three times a year, thus prompting rescues that at times put the would be rescuers in grave danger :devil2:...

Raven 08-17-2010 08:05 AM

slightly off topic

but out in Illinois
at cedar lake
these hikers called to be rescued 3 times
on the same week end -> getting lost
running out of water ect....

bunch a looser's....

some people just don't think about safety

That's a little girly rock west of 1/2 tide rock.He will be just fine. The spannish armada put themselves in much greater danger on sunday nights on the point going scup fishing in their sunday go to meetin clothes.Even in high ,rough water they just wade right out there.
