Fishing report from S. Maine

I just posted on the main striper talk board but wanted to focus on the fly fishing part of my trip. Just got back from my annual 2 weeks in s. Maine. I was fishing the tidal rivers and a couple of rocky points in that part of Maine and had a blast. Nothing too huge but I did land a couple of 28" ers on my 5 wt. That was a blast. I landed another half dozen on my 8 wt.I'm not a sophisticated salt water fly fisherman but I've done it a long time and absolutely love it. I was mostly fishing sand eel patterns as the water was full of them. Getting it as deep as I could considering I was using floating line. But most places were probably only 4 to 7 feet deep.

SWWEEEEETTT!!!!!! Does not get much better than that this time of year if you ask me. Still have yet to make it up that way to give it a whirl. Drooled when I used to visit my daughter up in Portland, but those were family trips without the gear in hand. If you wouldn't mind, please drop me a PM with some ideas as to where to fish out front. Maybe I will make the trip up.
