from risaa re. Reeves
Dear Chief Hall,
The Board of Directors of the Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association, is both saddened and angered to learn of the arrest of Albert Reeves for the illegal possession of striped bass. At a time when the striped bass populations are slowly diminishing, the illegal poaching of this important fish hurts everyone. It is not a matter of one person keeping a few extra fish, but rather he is stealing from every citizen of the state. Please stress to the court that a monetary fine has little effect on a dishonest person when he can make over $1,000 a day illegally selling striped bass, and in this case, Mr. Reeves has proven this fact. We urge you to request that the court allow RIDEM Enforcement to seize his boat and equipment. Only such a seizure will hurt a habitual offender like Mr. Reeves and serve as a deterrent for other potential thieves. Respectfully, Stephen Medeiros, President Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association 6 Arnold Road, Coventry, RI 02816 office: 401-826-2121 |
Awesome!! I hope that happens too!!! What a POS!!!:fury:

....and revoke his comm license permanently.
Guy i spoke about them getting a few weeks ago was back the next day and every day after that. He didn't give a flyin fluck. just went at a different time and scoped the place out first to make sure no one hiding in the bushes......Pathetic. |
As a citizen, I'm all for boat and equipment seizure!
|
Heard from a source he still doesnt give a sh&**t, just waiting to find out how much its going to cost him and move on.
|
His peers should make his life miserable.

Unfortunately, someone like him will just find another way to keep doing the same thing. I'm willing to bet that even with confiscating his gear, boat and comm. lic. , it won't stop him. He'll just figure out another angle to work under.

Great letter. Thank you for posting it. Taking his license and his gear is the only thing way that we are going to make the next guy think twice before he does the same. After he thinks twice, he will probably still do it, but we need to start treating this like the serious crime it is. No more slap on the wrist for habitual offenders.
ps this guy has also allegedly been caught poaching deer and trespassing to poach more deer after repeated warnings. He really lives the whole lifestyle. complete package piece of S#*t. |
