Special Slipkot Delivery This AM!

Well I delivered Slipknot's new Ditch Cruiser this morning and all I can say is how thrilled and just plain overwhelmed he was with it! The quote that most struck me funny was when he squeezed the brakes and exclaimed "Hey these brakes actually work!". :rotf2: I would like to thank my fellow S-B'ers who generously contributed to help with this gift! Bruce is a great friend to many here and his contributions both here at S-B as a moderator and in all the other S-B events throughout the year do not go unnoticed and for all you do Bruce.....we thank you! :thanks:

Here are a few pics of Bruce's tired old bike......we shall call her...."Rusty"!:rotf2:

The New Ride!

Here are some pics of the new bike! Slip commented on how comfortable it was.....lots of storage in the large baskets and tubes for 2 rods! Bruce will pimp it out to his liking this week just in time to hit the breaking tides! Hopefully he will show us some pics when he finishes trimming it out! Enjoy Bruce and best of fishing to you on your new bike from your friends at S-B!!

Nice looking rig !!!

JohnR 09-07-2010 01:22 PM

Congrats Slip :btu:

Looks like a kids bike with him on it :rotf2:

Thanks for putting this together Larry!

BigFish 09-07-2010 01:34 PM

As I said to Slipknot John.....I was just the messenger! Thanks goes to those who contributed!:gh:

Just wait until the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Bike Seats hears about this!

PaulS 09-07-2010 02:27 PM

Where are the tassles on the grips?

ProfessorM 09-07-2010 02:36 PM

nice bike to a nice guy. Save me your crappy bike as I have a friend who could use it if you want to give it up

timmah 09-07-2010 02:41 PM

I want to see him do a bunny hop tail kick. It is a diamond back. :rotf2:

Swimmer 09-07-2010 06:10 PM

Stay off of Wareham Street, you'll get run over.

PRBuzz 09-07-2010 06:32 PM

Here's hoping you fill those baskets with at least one 50+! Enjoy and remember to wear your helmet! The helmet is to deflect all the BS about your new wheels.

My vote for the old ride is to make it a PeeWee Herman bike.A flaming red paint job, banana seat and a sissy bar.One bitchin ride, congrats Bruce.

I don't know how to thank you all who are most generous and kind enough to do something like that. So thanks go out to all my friends here at S-B:uhuh:
I am as overwhelmed as I was when I first saw the original thread that made me very uncomfortable and awkward. I have a hard time receiving as I am a giver not a taker. and bigfish, you are the ringleader, not just the messenger so it IS all your fault. So I thank you all again and I will try to make real good use of it. Thank you John, I'll get you later:devil2:
Phil , I may need more than a helmet :hidin:

Paul, sure your friend can have it if he wants it. we were gonna plant it up in a tree down along the canal but that may not be the best thing to do with it.

BigFish 09-07-2010 07:03 PM

I blame Swimmer!:uhuh:

Raven 09-08-2010 06:21 AM

Thats AWESOME

look at all that JOY pouring out of Him....

He needed that...!

ALL he needs now (besides the custom board) is a ringer bell
and some base ball ( or magic cards :) ) hitting the spokes.:uhuh:

thanks to LArry (Kudos) and the S-B Gang for putting it together.

BigBo 09-08-2010 06:49 AM

Enjoy it in good health Slip. Thanks for all your help here.

I learned Slip is a fan of OCC, I take him for an "old school" guy so I can see his new bike tricked out to mimic this OCC bike....:rotf2:

PaulS 09-08-2010 07:14 AM

The seat needs to be raised.

Nebe 09-08-2010 08:05 AM

I will be starting a new thread shorty.. We need donations to provide slipknot with a new hair cut/ style ASAP. :grins:
