passed away this am...RIP Pat. damned good coach.

Sad day for hockey. Too young at 58 years old. He was a great coach and tough guy. Beat Colon Cancer and then Liver Cancer only to get Lung Cancer. Wish he elected to HOF while he was alive.

Still alive. Just called TSN to straighten it out. Although he is very, very sick.

Maybe he's not dead? Kind of sad if they are botching up the reporting on some one's potential death. ESPN.com has no mention of it at all.

I hated him with Montreal, loved him with Bruins. Funny how that works.

sorry for the post..i heard it on weei from dale (a hockey man). i'm glad he's still around! i'm a big fan of his. hopefully they induct this man into the hof...soon.
