Been working on these on and off over the last couple of weeks. Shapes and colors that have worked for me..Some bottles,a pikie and a couple of Roman inspired shapes. I'm seriously considering going to System 3 as a clear coat. I think I may need every drop of those single malts in the background to help cope with the transition. Also included a close up of the tri color paint job on one of the bottles.

I like the fade of the colors
those look good

I really like those needle poppers:uhuh:

I don't think you'll have any trouble switching to system 3, just be accurate in your mixes, maybe consider a scale for small batches I don't know.:uhuh:

Nice plugs -- I like the three color plug.

What epoxy are you switching from? Envirotex?

If single malt is the goal I think there would be quite a few volunteers

Thanks Slip. Yeah,I'm reading/hearing that measurements are crucial to the success of System 3. Seems like a pretty good learning curve to it..

great looking stuff.

Sys. 3 CC likes it's drying place to be warm to hot, no cold area drying or you will be dissapointed. Best stuff I have found available to the home builder IMO, epoxy wise . Hard but not brittle and stands up pretty darn good for a piece of wood. Eventually you have to settle on something or you will drive yourself nuts so it is what i have settled on for last few years, at least for now :smash: :)

I like the Talisker 10, super peaty.

Best 10 yr old scotch out there. Better than a lot of older scotches.

Yeah, that's what I'm leaning toward. I've heard it's like the Hotel California. It can be heaven or hell. I need to settle on something tho..

Mark I think we should hold off till the fishing picks up, I just spent 3 days there with 4 fish 30" and under. and all fish were caught last night from 10:00 to 10:30 last night, it was a long night to say the least

Strike_King 09-26-2010 01:38 PM

Bob,that's fine with me..I've heard from several people how slow it's been up there..

Karl F 09-26-2010 06:48 PM

tattoobob 09-26-2010 06:52 PM

A few fish were caught last night, biggest I heard was a 38 inch, I went today surf was big it was hard to hold bottom with 6 oz's. wind was tough to. same conditions tomorrow with less wind I'm probably going to head up I have nothing else to do. If you want to come your welcome to I have about 4 doz. worms that will probably die soon if there not used
