Chile miners GREAT NEWS!

Rescue drill reaches 33 trapped Chilean miners - CNN.com

Man I couldn't imagine doing what they do. I been watching this since it happened.

spence 10-09-2010 10:08 AM

Yea, we're talking months here.

Pretty incredible story.

Raven 10-09-2010 11:56 AM

well you and i and other portly men can only imagine
because we won't fit inside the rescue tube...:grins:

but they should have a rescue shaft already established as protocol
before any mining operation begins as a back up plan of escape.:uhuh:

That would probably only happen with burdensome government regulations :fishin:

First one expected to be rescued shortly.

I heard the miners are lobbying amongst themselves to be the last one out. I assume that the guys with the most to gain by being last are the ones whose wives met their girlfriends at the vigil........:rotf2:

UserRemoved1 10-12-2010 04:13 PM

HEHE I got a good chuckle over that Ross. Imagine explaining that one. There was an article a few weeks ago that said they went fist to cuffs right there in front of everyone :fight:

I hope this works for them.

it's gonna be a long day today. Stayed up last night watching this. Pretty incredible footage.

Today is lead day. I'll probably fall asleep and pour it in my pocket

UserRemoved1 10-13-2010 10:02 AM

justplugit 10-13-2010 11:53 AM

What an inspiration to see everyone coming together and
working together for thier countrymen.
First thing the rescued do, after greeting their family, is hold
their countries flag.
Patriotism and love of thier country at it's best. :)

UserRemoved1 10-13-2010 02:29 PM

Sure is JPI.

#21 coming up shortly.

PaulS 10-13-2010 02:59 PM

Great story. If it was China, they would prob. have just left them there.

UserRemoved1 10-13-2010 03:32 PM

If it was China they'd be dead long ago.

#23 coming up now :kewl:

UserRemoved1 10-13-2010 03:36 PM

Kudos to the Chilean President too. Something tells me if this was the US you wouldn't see Obama standing there for 20 hours to welcome each one.

Actually, I heard BHO wanted to fly down and push the miners back down the hole. Ventilation when working with lead Scott, Ventilation!

This is a great global story about the human spirit. No need to bring politics in it Scott. I do agree, if this was China I think they would have just finished filling the hole in.....

No politics Bryan just stating what I think wouldn't happen. He'd probably be playing his 55th round of golf :rotf2:

I pour outside with a 24" fan behind me.

That's a days work.

UserRemoved1 10-13-2010 04:30 PM

#25 up and back down again. 11 more to go!

Can you imagine the party these guys are going to throw tonite.

UserRemoved1 10-13-2010 05:07 PM

They're moving alot faster now, I got cnn running in the background and it's taking them 6 minutes to drop, 17 up. They'll be done tonite early if everything goes well.

And if he did, you'd complain about that.

It would be damned if you do, damned if you don't.

1. We have bigger problems, fix the economy!
2. This is all a political stunt. Obama sucks.
3. Wood is bad. Plastic is better
