Following your gut
If there are words to live by, its always follow your gut, always.
I had been interviewing for a number of jobs early last year, luckiliy I was not out of work, just looking for a new challenge. On one job, it looked good on paper, but after the interview decided it wasnt for me. I sent an email to the hiring manager and the HR person, told them I wasnt interested. They called me a few months later and was suprised I wasnt interested. I told them my concerns and they laughed, they said I was way off. Asked me to come back in and talk to the other people about my concerns. So against my gut feeling, I did. Interviews went well. I ended up taking the job and you know what? ITS EXACTLY what i told them I didnt want! Exactly what the said it wasnt but I knew it was! WTF ! Its like i was deliberately lied to. I was interviewing so much before with a number of jobs, I have no energy to start all over and plus my resume would have that I was only in this job for a few months. F |
So you tell your possible new employer the reason you are looking for a new job....just like you said it here? Sorry you got boned! I do not pay enough attention to my "GUT" feeling either and I should! Good luck!

you're right.....its more the energy/effort.
Im in a better place than I was, but still sucks and it kills me that I knew it but followed my head and not my gut feeling. |
I agree - start looking for a new job. It's going to start taking many months to find a job. Good luck!

That sucks, Jimmy. Any way you can go back to the office in RI?

Welcome to my world...

Interviews go both ways...I can't tell you the number of people I've met who feel they've been misled in job interviews.

Plus, your resume is pretty much up to date. That is half the battle. |
