much thought.........

After giving it much thought I think I was wrong to say I would not post here anymore. I mean after all, my posting was directed and sent too a bunch of fisherman, and everyone knows fisherman are a very opinionated bunch. Thanks those who sent me PMs and encouraged me to continue posting. I just need to watch what and when I post. You all seem like a good bunch of folks and I truly enjoy this site very much and sharing storys with people who I share something in common with. When I posted the other night I was working on 6 hours of sleep in 48 and agitated a bit. I hope nobody was offended by any of my postings.

This year has been a very productive one for me and I feel very lucky to have had the type of season I did. I fish hard every year but this year I fished harder (and longer) than previous years. My log book is loaded with some great memory's of good fish and greater fish that got off. The ones that get off make me fish harder as I know it just a matter of time before its in the cards for me to hook and more importantly, land a 50. But more importantly I have learned more about my spots and myself as a fisherman. And the words of encouragement from you folks help out too! Thanks.

Glad to hear it.

RIJIMMY 10-15-2010 09:42 AM

Thats good to hear. Dont worry about offending people out here. Im very opinionated and argue regularly, some of the folks I've traded jabs on this site have become good friends and I people i enjoy fishing with.
I think of these forums as bar room discussions and people are just speaking off the cuff, not a lot of thought put into the responses. You are a very good fisherman and many of us can learn from you. You'll find that spot info, lures vs. eels and shore vs. boats, catch and release will draw the most controversy. bustin balls is a ton of fun and I dont think any of us take it too seriously.

redlite 10-15-2010 09:49 AM

Glad u stickin around dude :cheers2:.

PaulS 10-15-2010 09:52 AM

Didn't see or saw you weren't going to post and don't know the reason but unless JohnR tells you not to post, don't worry about it. If it was about spots???, people are sensitive about that so be careful your not too descriptive.

fishbones 10-15-2010 10:24 AM

Glad to see that you're sticking around. I like hearing about people who put in the time and have success. Some people may make negative comments out of jealousy, but I think it also motivates many of us to try to become better.

BassDawg 10-15-2010 10:34 AM

EXCELLENT choice!!
:claps: :claps: :claps:

i always say,,,,,,,,,,,,EFFF 'em, if they cain't take a joke!!

and JOKE 'em if they cain't take,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

nobody was offended, i doan think, just trying to share with you
their past experiences with SPOT details, pix, and the nature of the Lurk Mess Monsters.

oh yes, they are reel, and they are just waiting for you to save them the trouble and time and more than willing to BOMB yer spot; AND tell their two friends, who tell their 4 friends, who tell their 6 friends,,,,,,,,,

keep up the posts, keep up the efforts, and THANKS for sharing!!
also, thanks for deciding to stick around. now get yerseff to TCTFN this Winter and put some faces to the names. this is a good bunch of surfnutz, HERE!!

and WELCOME aboard, again :bl: :bl: :bl:

BigFish 10-15-2010 10:37 AM

PEOPLE.....are opinionated! Nevermind fishermen!!! Let it all roll off your back like water off a duck and never give a crap what anyone thinks of you!!!:uhuh:

ProfessorM 10-15-2010 11:06 AM

Good to see you are still going to join us. I didn't see any post that you offended anyone or any reason you should be offended. Some posts do get way out of hand but this was a very mild one. Wait till winter sets in, then you will see some crap slinging. as I am sure you figured out by now the posts that were talking about spots, your spot, and such were said to help you, not me or us. Got to remember 1000's of people see the posts. I know it seems like you are talking to a friend or 2. Save the intimate details for PM's and call it a learning experience and move on and have some fun. Good luck in your search for your 50.

Rockfish9 10-15-2010 11:19 AM

I think you would be hard pressed to find a single person here that at one time or the other didn't want to say *$%^ this i dont need the grief..This is a quality site, with quality people... sooner or latter someone will offend someone else... John R and the Mods. run a tight ship here... they will see to it that things dont get out of hand.. just re-read any post you make before hitting the send button..

so there is no need to bid a fond adue ( Sorry larry i couldnt resist).. glad you decided to stick around.

piemma 10-15-2010 11:58 AM

ah who gives a S*&%$:chased::rotf2:

Pete F. 10-15-2010 12:19 PM

You guys gonna do a group hug now?

JohnR 10-15-2010 12:33 PM

You're all banned for the next minute

luds 10-15-2010 12:36 PM

Glad you're staying but you can still go #&#&& yourself. :rotf2:

Kidding aside.....I don't think you've posted anything that was offensive and I think everyone has enjoyed the threads you have started. Like others have said we just all have strong opinions (right or wrong). For what it's worth my contribution to your last thread was probably driven by the fact that the last time I was out was a week ago and I took the skunk that night. Can you feel my positive energy?

piemma 10-15-2010 12:52 PM

...and now you know why this is such a great site. Irreverent bunch of basta*ds who don't give a crap about anything.

But let one of us get in a bind or need a hand and you will have more guys jump to help you than you ever thought possible.

Back Beach 10-15-2010 01:21 PM

Fireman,

Don't fall for all the b.s these incompetent buffoons are throwing at you. They're all just s#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g up so you'll take pity on them and take them fishing. None of them have ever even caught a keeper before...I'll send you the names of the guys to watch out for...

One of them will claim all your spots as his, then decorate your vehicle with ladies undergarments(probably his) and dead eels on your antenna...

JohnR 10-15-2010 01:29 PM

Yes, Beware the Rigged-Eel

Adam_777 10-15-2010 02:45 PM

Smells like Swagger in here now !

Raven 10-15-2010 02:55 PM

and then......

Be like the small smooth as glass pond
and reflect it all ->inside

your internal waters can not be disturbed

no one can ripple your resolve...

just go along your merry way

whistle a tune from yesteryear

keep all negative thoughts clear

most importantly go have a beer.

piemma 10-15-2010 04:34 PM

...and beware of crazy old surfcasters crawling around Plymouth under cover of darkness....

Good observation and point...even the Mr. SD, Sea Dangles says hello to me despite my pointed advocacy against the striped bass commercial fishery and for game fish status for this every-person accessible public resource. And vice versa.

Thats why S-B stands out.... it's very close to the tackle shop atmophere. When need be...You can speak your mind and tell it like it is or you an bust somebodies chops, or just shoot the chit. Qaulity will always be better them quantity....always!!!

Indeed. I think I know your old man from my days on the Cape back 20+ years ago.
