plasma vs LED tv
...going to by a 52" tv ...debating btwn a plasma or a LED/LCD...any thoughts?
was thinking of the sony bravia... |
Pure movies: Plasma, LED, LCD
Cost: LCD, Plasma, LED Running through a PC / Game console: LED, LCD, Plasma What do you want to use it for? How much do you want to spend? |
...movies...and sports...dont watch much tv otherwise...it will be going into a bright room though so i thought plasma is not good in bright rooms...the led/lcd sony bravia seemed like it got pretty solid reviews...

sports = plasma. Real bright room LCD. I got Panasonic 52" plasma in a fairly bright room and I luv it, especially for sports. Tough to decide though. If you got lots of $$ LCD are awesome but too rich for my blood, no matter what VB says. and get as big as you can afford. Now my tv doesn't seem that big anymore and probably could have gone bigger if I could have afford it. Just my 2 cents. P.

Plasma is old technology get the Led with as fast an engine in the size you can afford.

Plasma tech may be older but it is the most natural looking way to watch a broadcast. The Samsung LED's are better than Sony's. Trust me we install hundreds of video display's a year. LED & LCD's are more likely to need repair or be broken right out of the box because of how cheaply they are made. I'd go with the Samsung Ultra thin model 6000-8000 series. When you say the room is bright, will you be watching a lot of tv during the day. If not go with the plasma and again go with Samsung. Panasonic a second best. We sell Runco and NuVision but they are very expensive and honestly the picture is no better IMHO. Be careful about buying a tv over the internet to. If you want to shoot me a PM I can see if we have the model you're looking for. It won't be the same price as the internet but it will be the same or better than Best Buy in most cases and if anything is wrong with it you'll know a real company is dealing with the manufacturer in getting you a replacement.

Bright room - go LED if you can.
