Fein Multimaster tool?

Anyone have one or used one? Seen the infomercial, and I have a job that it might be just the perfect tool for. Looking for some feedback here before dropping 400 on another tool.... Hoping to hear that it is a tool I would be using on a regular basis and that it performs as advertised.

I bought the dremel version and saved $350.

Lowes and Sears have a multi-tool for $99, does similar cuts and optional attachments.

I fin ally picked one up last year = 300 bucks without the case

blades don't last that long and are expensive so I got some online from the guy that sells them for half what fein wants.

I bet the imitation multimasters would work just fine for me since I use it for cutting in wall units in baseboard mainly. Useful tool

Thanks guys.

Do you think it would handle 5/8 wood stock? Trying to avoid tearing out casing on 13 windows to install replacements, and have to make a clean cut to remove interior stops. Makita flush cut saw would butcher the casing I think. Cut will be covered with cove or something.
Slip, PM me the addy of that guy, please

I've had the air version of the tool for years and it's worth every penny !
We use this tool in the auto body shop for cutting out glass/windshields. I've got lots of other attachments also (sanding pads, cutting blades. ect...)
I've got 2 others of the same tool made by CP and have to replace a bearing in the head about 3-4 times a year.
The Fein tool is about 15 years old and has not needed a bearing yet and the tool works as smooth as when new.
You get what you pay for !
I believe the Fein is made in France.
