I've seen that pic before... It looks like the fish was folded in half, and then unfolded again for the pic! Almost looks flat! The look on his face says it all!!!

no that is one over 60 I'm pretty sure. Joe is the president of the 5' 7" and under fishing club, which I am a member. I had the pleasure of going out in that boat with Joe at night this summer in those waters and had a blast. I look forward to finagling a trip again next year. Joe is a fantastic host and fisherman.

Slipknot 11-04-2010 08:33 AM

RIJIMMY 11-04-2010 08:35 AM

sad but true

FishermanTim 11-04-2010 10:08 AM

Doesn't look THAT huge, considering that in the photo it looks like he's standing back about 3-4 feet from the fish.
With the camera close to the fish it would appear that it was a really huge fish.
Kind of like ALL those photos of people hold their "big catches" out a full arm's length in front of themselves to make the fish look larger than it really was.

intrepid24 11-04-2010 10:29 AM

it looks pretty huge to me, imho.

ProfessorM 11-04-2010 10:34 AM

its not huge, it's real huge

The Dad Fisherman 11-04-2010 10:37 AM

Thats a 62 lb'er weighed in at Surfland.....pic is still up on the wall of fame there. :kewl:

I, too, was lucky enough to enjoy a night out w/ Joe this summer.....had a great time and got my 1st ever Boat Fish....and I counted it :hee:

Mr. B is one of the few real deals.
We could all learn somthing from him.
He is in my top five fishermen in my area.
He is boarding on Kingship.

Not quite Scott... the fish weighed 61lbs and the original photo ( of which that is a copy) hangs on the 50 and over wall at Surfland along with several other fish of mine that were over 50...

LINESIDES 11-06-2010 09:22 AM

Not sure if you are refering to me in this Quote. Hi Mr T!
However if you are, hello John.
I am back on the water, god willing next year.
Spent all summer working on the machine.
I have been off the water for the last three years.
Later, L.
