Sparky Anderson In Hospice Care.
 

76 years old and suffering from Dementia (Alzheimers I am guessing?). Such a shame. I will remember him always from my days watching baseball games as a young boy......great days they were and Sparky was amazing! One of the best. Prayers for him and his family.

that is a shame he was a true asset to the sport.

Great baseball man, of course anyone could have managed those big red machine teams in early '70's.

He went in the HOF in 2000! There have, by the way, been many talented teams that should have won but didn't......so just having a talent laiden team does not guarantee a championship! He took the 84' Tigers wire to wire to win it all......so he was no fluke by any means......and that team was not exactly the Big Red Machine!:)

All the more reason to get out, do what you enjoy,live life. Leave no regrets.

Sparky passed away earlier today :(

Oh that sucks. He was one of the greats! He had the 3rd highest winning percentages for managers when he retired!! Quite a manager and quite a character. RIP Sparky.

Wow was that fast. RIP Sparky - a great baseball man.
