The only bad thing about going to the YMCA is

when you get there, all of the people on the treadmills and other machines in front of you are guys. No women wearing spandex or stretchy cotton tights.

It changed after about fifteen minutes, but you have to be inspired somewhat to exercise. Even the older gals look good in those things.

I go to Answer is Fitness in North Attleboro. Try to go before work when I can. Typically a 3:1 ratio of trophy wives and college aged girls relative to men. Also never have to wait for a machine. The scenery is worth the $20/month.

I'm buff already, so I stay home and look at porn on the internet while drinking beer while you guys are sweating at the gym.

I echo Fishbones......I don't work hard at keeping myself buff and "somewhat" fit...and it shows!!:jump1: What ever that means???:rotf2:

To quote the great Rodney Dangerfield "I'm in shape, the shape of a pear". Driving by a gym makes me sore.

This post leaves you wide open, and I'm not going there.

Slip, you've obviously never met Fishbones. He could use a few hours a day at the Y. And he IS our age!

Hey, I run a couple of miles 4 or 5 times a week on the treadmill at home. Then, I can drink without feeling guilty. And I still get out to drink with the local talent, although being married keeps me from doing the things I would have done when I was 21. Hence, the internet porn at home.:grins:

By the way, I think I'm a year younger than you Jim. Since you brought up the "Y", is it appropriate for me to bring up the box lunch at the Y joke?

They say you gain a minute on your life for every min. you excercise. Of course, you've wasted that min. excercising so there is no net gain.

Why do you think I am at the Y to begin with. IT isn't the sights. Its how how the digital scale goes in my bathroom when I get on it. Its just that its nice watching the sights, female in yellow spandex is the best, when I am there.

I have at least 40 #'s more to lose on top of the 25 #'s I allready lost.

I know you were just goofin. I don't have a problem with your post at all. Hey I am on this site aren't I, if I can't take it I should be doing/hanging something/somewhere else. I only replied to your post for another, which now I have forgotten. Hey I am 59 soon to be sixty, and I am o.k. with that.
