office chair wheels?
trying to replace some (wheels) on my wifes computer chair
are they pressed in....or wtf how do you remove them? anyone ever figured it out? |
All ours are pressed in. If what they are attached to is plastic, get a screw driver in there to leverage them out. After the first time you pull them out though, they tend to not want to stay in if reused.
If they are attached to metal, there should be a spot above the wheel where you can get a wrench on them. This is similar to the ones on my office chair: http://gwally.com/pranks/archives/images/caster.jpg |
pressed in they will usually come out with a screwdriver prying straight out.
or when you least expect it :hee: |
All mine are pressed and have been for as far back as i can remember self assembled furniture.
They are supposed to be hard to get out. If they came out easy you would hate the chair as the wheels kept falling off in use. :) |
gonna git ugly-lol
i 'll break out some heavier tools |
