big plugs !
1 Attachment(s)
A fellow came in to the tackle shop while I was there and he was from Wisconsin or some place out west and had several really large custom plugs I think used for muskie or pike. He was out this way to fish derby and was going to try them for bass. They were really nice.

That's a big plug!
It's a copy of a "Believer" Muskie plug. The action is amazing. They make a straight version too. It's a killer plug for the ditch, te 10" version has two line ties, a deep and shallow. Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device |
Great scott!

I tried..but he would not part with it.:fury:

I cut the head on a popper upside down once and it looked like that. I wired it and tried swimming it and it had a real nice jerking side to side action like a twitch bait. I wonder what the obround tail does on it's side. It would throw a big profile to anything underneath but probably retain alot of side to side action with that cut.
This gives me ideas... I now have the capability of doing 3d shapes...I could easily cut some of these and try it. |
Jim what kind of blank was he using to throw that monster? And how much did it weigh?

Jim you should have offered him a trade. He was more than happy to swap a couple for some of mine. Those Darters of yours he would have loved. Ron
