Winter Moths

House, yard is inundated with the little buggers the last 2 weeks with tonite being the worst yet. Looks like next spring is going to be bad.

same here Paul, full bloom of the moths...the catepillars raised hell this June, stripped the oaks of leaves, and the trees really strained to get a new full set out in July.. pretty sure another round will claim most of my oaks.. oh well, more firewood, but good bye shade...

So oil in March on most of the bark?

If those suckas ever develop a taste for human flesh, we'd be doomed!:rotf2:
Between tracking pine needles into the house and the moths piggy-backing their way in, it's enough to drive a person bonkers! :smash:

got most of my blueberries this year. The thing is they come out and eat the bud so you never really even think you got a problem till the buds start dying off, unlike gypsy moths that eat the leaves and you can see them. If you watch the video above you can see the caterpillars . I get damage when they are much smaller than that and there are hardly any leaves out yet. They get in the flower bud before it is even open, still tight, and start munching. Hard to see them and get anything in on them before it is too late. Royal PIA. If you do a search we have complained about them for several years past and getting worse every year. I hope to get to them in time this year.

I need some flies
