Just thought i would pass this along...
Some of you have the Harbor Freight Dust collector 2.0hp.... I am getting one as my Rockwell chit the bed this last Spring... It didn't like to be submerged.. but anyways... I think it is a good idea and people liked the upgrade who ranted and raved about the performance gains...
from Wynn Environmental Harbor Freight Dust Collector Conversion I am going to use the pegboard trick to make circles with the router. Not cheap @ $105+ shipping but for a huge gain in performance and to be with a .5 micron filtration i think it's a great trade off. |
thanks
I bet I could use the smaller/shorter one for 78 bucks for a 1 hp collector |
I have the Jet with the 0.2 micron Filter,I am a little disappointed in the design that forces most of the dust into the filter not allowing a swirl or a stop as shown for only small dust into the filter I am contemplating a change like this to fix that issue.
Good post. Once you do this. Take the filter outside once a year and blow it out with your compressor and shopvac. Darn thing ends up with a ton of dust in the pleats that won't come out any other way. Takes me about an hour to clean it all out. |
Leptar, do you still want the pot?
