S-B.com spring dust off

We are planning a spring schoolie excursion. It will be sometime in May , maybe the 3rd or 4th. I am also open for some late April dates if you think it will be better. A good way to get to meet and greet some of the members on this site. I had suggested meeting at the Dunkin Donuts at the Sagamore rotary. I think we should meet instead at M&D's if it is ok with Mike. That way people who need to get last minute thing, plugs, swivels etc can support a great sponser of this site. There will be no B-BQ at this one, however we can stop and get sandwiches and meet somewhere to chow. Now I need some moreexperienced members to step up to the plate, and become a group leader. We are gonna need about 3-5 of them. We don't want to go to your secret honey holes, just need people familiar with the area.
So sign up here in this post, and if you could be a group leader let us know.

redcrbbr 03-30-2003 11:02 AM

bill are you thinking canal or somewhere else??? i could only late saturday or on a sunday. but it sure does sound like fun.

TheSpecialist 03-30-2003 11:18 AM

Was not thinking canal, thinking more along the lines of sany beaches, inlets, estuaries, and backwater areas. Sunday would be no prob for me. I think we should meet early, and have a game plan ready.....

Salty wanted to keep this one on the shore, but I am sure that someone will jump on your offer, and we could all meet for lunch later on. :)

Bill, last time we were a week too early //while we had fish in RI

RickBomba 03-30-2003 09:51 PM

Yeah Billy,
I think we went the first of May or so last year and didn't get a hit.
My buddy Jeff got one @ Scorton's on the way back from Bass River that day, though.
Third week of May should be rockin...I'll have the livewell and the sticker for the truck for Chapin; I can probably get six guys in the Suburban and my bro haas a Jep, he can get another two.
Sunday will be the day for me...I'd love to go no matter where we go.
I had a great time last year, even though the fishies were scarce.
Get back to me.
Rick

Since the 4th is my Birthday, I am definately in. And if I get skunked, I am never celebrating another birthday....Bad karma. Looking back on when I actually kept a journal, didn't start really getting anything down the cape until after Mom's day, but in the meantime was getting fish in R.I.
