Musso Needles and SW Classics Articles

2 Attachment(s)
I have been reading thru the 30 articles online from Hunting and Fishing Collectibles Magazine and had to turn a few copies of the 7.25 and 8.25 inch needles that lead to the current plastic needle from Super Strike.

here are the links to the 3 articles on Don Musso:

http://www.swlcc.com/uploads/article30.pdf
http://www.swlcc.com/uploads/article29.pdf
http://www.swlcc.com/uploads/article28.pdf

and the article that focuses on the evolution of the needle design:

http://www.swlcc.com/uploads/article24.pdf

The green needle is my copy of the 8.25 inch Musso Wadd design and the Tiger maple one on the lathe is the 7.25 inch Musso needle.

The Tiger is a floater while the Block island green one is a sinker with a sliding tail wt.

Check out the rest of the articles in these series by changing the article number from 1-30.

Great reading and super pictures of many hard to fine collectibles...

REALLY like the green you used in that needle!

That green is a fluorescent green for flagging purposes... I bought a can last year and the plugs I made with it have held up great... got it at O'Connors hardware in Billerica,MA great selection of rattlecans there... including great glitter paint

O'Conner's is a great place for plug builders and it's a mile from my house, I can't stay away from that place

Great looking Needle to, that's my goto Block Island color and Super Strikes always do well over there
