Dont know if anyone caught The Hunt for Big Fish on tv. I was always wondering if Larry ever caught stripers before. He was off the Cape with P Sabile, throwing topwater.

I saw that show. Boy, did they hit it right . . .or what?

Its nice to see Patrick ditching the tail hook on the magic swimmer. Dahlberg should have done it on the stick shad as well.

That episode was awsome. I need to go fishing.

probly increases wiggle, like when u take the back hook off a redfin. the arse goes up and wags? verification?

With the pressure they put on those fish, no chance they're using stock hardware. Didn't RoyL mention that the Sebiles are freshwater plugs?:grins:

The reason i dont use a tail hook is that 3 of the first 5 fish i got on them went back with only one eye. The hooks are perfectly spaced to get one in the mouth and one in the eye of 20-24 pound fish. After taking the rear hook off i didn't notice any real difference in hook up success. I also ditched the hook on the magic swimmer because it fouled frequently.
