cancer sucks
It seems like the site's members have lost many loved ones lately:(
I'm sure many of you have battled or know someone who has or are fighting cancer of some kind. Today my wife's cousin lost his battle after a few years of treatments where we thought he had it beat or close to it. Unfortunately it came back aggressively and it was too much as it spread. He was just 42 and leaves 2 beautiful young girls 14 and 10 :( so sad. He was raising them on his own. It just doesn't seem fair. The family will pull together to get thru this difficult time I'm sure. Danny got the chance to go to Boston to see him over the weekend, I'm glad he did. I guess he can be with his mother now who he lost as a very young teenager. If you can take a moment and think good thoughts for Jonathan, that would be great. He was a real good person. Thanks RIP Jonathan |
That's really sad Bruce. I will say a prayer for his daughters.
And yes. Cancer does suck. Been down that road. |
Bruce,Im sorry to hear of this he will be in our family prayers this Sunday.........
|
So sorry to hear this Bruce :( He is in a better place now & with his mom :)
|
That reminds me
I just recently read a similar story...
about a man who was about to loose his battle to Cancer and he decided to assemble a group of man friends that were all fathers... to act as a council of DAD's for his Daughter's needs so that she always had someone to turn to for advice so she didn't feel so LOST and abandoned ... I thought it was a very touching and a GRAND idea |
It's sad to read this. It sounds like he was a good man trying to do all the right things for his girls. I wish them all the best going forward.
|
Sorry for your loss.
|
My condolences. Far too young for the girls to lose their dad. Doctors are making remarkble progress in the fight against cancer. I doubt we'll be ever to fully defeat it though.
|
So sorry to hear Bruce. My deepest condolences to Melissa, to you and the family. 42......just too God Damn young. I wish the best for his daughters going forward. I hate to hear this.
|
I hate to here these kind of stories. In the past 7 years I've lost 9 family members to cancer, including my Dad. You begin to look at life a little different, and I cherish every moment with my son for this reason. You never can predict whats going to happen down the road. My wifes brother now has cancer in his retina, just plain sucks!!
Bruce, I'm sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family. |
Thanks Everyone

Bruce, sorry for your family's loss. Thoughts and prayers for Jonathan's girls.

|
Good thoughts on the way!

Sorry Bruce
|
I'm sorry too Bruce...
I must have overlooked (not feeling well) the Part of your Post that said it was Melissa's Cousin ...and a family relative My Condolences to your family... I still stand behind that idea of the continued guidance in lieu of the father no longer being there to provide it. |
Sux's Slip , some times life is not fair when they deal out the cards, As I said before only the good die young ,
My friend also has the big C and has about a week left , no food or water or pain VB |
This has been some hard past few years, with cancer and people passing. Perhaps it is now that we are getting older and know more people but it seems to be more and more.
We've seen some people beat it and some people eventually fall, though fighting. Some of the toughest people I've ever met - like Clammer's wife who passed several years ago, have fought cancer. |
Bruce a special remembrance for him will take place with me.
|
So sorry for your loss Bruce
