Plum Island Surfcasters Fishing Show

Hi All!

Has everyone had enough snow yet? I am just posting to let you all know that we are having our an Annual Fundraiser & Junior Program Support Fishing Show on February 26th, 2011 at The Elks Lodge, 25 Low Street, Newburyport, MA.

Capt. Jim White and Roland St. Denis will be presenting.

This is a true grass-roots show that is 100% about fishing. All are welcome.

Visit Plum Island Surfcasters Events Page for more information.

If you're coming, just reply with “I'm in.”

Tight lines,

Great show as usual. Loved Roland St. Denis seminar! I learned a whole lot about jigging too from Capt Jim White.

nightfighter 02-27-2011 07:59 AM

Good day! Saw a number of folks from Plugfest there... Amazing that Joe and Ron's better halfs would spend multiple Saturdays around fish starved maniacs.
Learned a ton about jigs from Jim White. He says the fresh water bass group is light years ahead of us saltwater guys in fishing jigs and we ought to pay attention.... Lure of the month suggestion? Jigs, rubber, skirts, etc (Clammer better chime in...

Ofer on the raffle table....again.:rotf2:

It was an honor to present before Jim White...and to meet the great folks from PI Surfcasters Assoc..

Thanks to those who invited me. We had a great time and hope to fish with many of our new friends.

Best,

Roland St. Denis

The price was right...it only cost me dinner at Stripers....I think Ron paid the same.. as they came strolling in soon after we got there...

I took the opertunity to check on my boat that is sleeping on the other side of the bridge... still lots of snow surrounding the old girl..

I actualy had several size and style jigs for the raffel.. but I left the box on my work bench...I'll have to get them to kevin for one of his future raffels...

The Dad Fisherman 03-01-2011 07:06 AM

Finally got a chance to breath......

I just want to thank everybody that helped with, Donated to, and attended the show.

It was a great day and I think we hit a homerun w/ the 2 speakers we had. Both Roland and Jim put on great presentations and I'm really happy that we paired them up for the show.....

It was our 1st time in this venue and it seemed to go well...there were a few snafus that we need to rectify for next year, but otherwise it seemed to work.

Again, Thanx to everybody that came out and helped us support our club
