Tried to rush a contest plug tonight, I'm lucky I'm not bleeding:wall:
Skipped a couple steps, should have taken my time, there's always next year...

I learned a long time ago, you can never be too careful when playing with power tools. And shortcuts never work out the way you want them to.

guess you will not be stopping by to get those props. If blood was drawn lets see the carnage.

Well, when spinning large pieces of wood, things can climb the wall in a hurry, unless there is a large blockhead in the way.

I can always pass along the lesson I learned the hard way. "Always unplug the table saw when changing the blade." Words of wisdom to live by.

Norm doesn't really build it in 30 minutes

I'm OK, can't stand taking all the time to draw out the plug then turn and sand it, only to try something foolish. I have to change the speeds of my drill press and work on a jig to hold the plug. I will be talking to some of our members at plugfest about it.

No blood was drawn, I will gladly show pics of carnage if and when it happens...... Sorry Paul, won't be needing the props, but thanks for the offer.

After I master the process I will gladly share it....

We have all been there, its like falling asleep while driving! It scares the CRAP out of you!!! Then you figure out the steps to stop it from happening again...

Since I've worked with engineers I look at problems as challenges. Just need to figure out where I went wrong and make the steps to be safer and not have to change my shorts as often....

You mean 4th or 5th, I have two table and one floor. Your going to get me in trouble with the wife.....

Dang, I only got 3 too, 2 floor , 1 table.

every 50 drills I like to leave the drill chuck in the drillhead theres nothing like a white flash and wakeing up next to the sawdust bin to keep it real:rotf2:

I still have a chuck key MIA...

been there done that... yep my General TT drill press really throws the key if I leave it in... I have dodged several bullets ... it always throws the key to the back left side.... the tommy bars in my Nova chuck fortunately have never been tossed by my lathe at me.. they would be like a missile comin at you..
