AH jointeds

has anyone fished the ah sea dragon and the ah jointed eels. these plugs look the balls because they're slim and 2-2 3/4 oz. i had some jointed hogs a while ago that were too fat and too heavy for me. thinking of picking some up. wanted feedback first. are they a deep water deal, or can you fish em at all depths.

the sea dragon and sr jointed eel swim from just subsurface down to about 2', the jr jointed eel swims down to about 4-5'. maybe canalman, cory or dj can comment...

no ah jointed supporters on this site, huh?

They crush!! :fishin:

like all Don's stuff they hold up and catch fish.

They actually cast pretty well for a jointed plug too.

I like the jr jointed the best, it allows you to fish a wider water column.

I did real well with them in the canal at night.

There were a couple times he was catching as much on those as I was on eels

Scott. You can't go wrong with the jointed eel. Haven't picked up anything on the sea dragon yet but I have not given it the time it deserves.

I've taken a few fish on the jointed.

I asked Don on camera on Saturday at Surf Day in NJ what was his favorite plug..he never saw it coming (the question, you will see that on his face on video..lol)..he said "jointed" was his number one choice if conditions allow..I was surprised ...I guess I expected a needle or something
I seen him take a very nice fish with that plug at Cutty last year...and then it all went downhill...:-)

Jointed wooden plugs certainly do produce. I had a night years ago in Narragansett when I threw eels all night and got skunked.

Finally as a last resort switched to a black jointed swimmer that I had made and hooked one of the biggest fish of my life. Never landed her either as she straighted some 3/0 3X VMCs and bent the lip all to hell.

I love jointed plugs when it's dead calm. They wiggle so nice!!!

I love the feedback that jointed plugs give back through the line.
